Katrina Theories Are All Over The Map

DETROIT - As I rift through the hundreds of emails I received this week it becomes very apparent that most of my readers have jumped onto the Katrina Conspiracy train.
It appears that other sites are certain that the government has intentionally caused this disaster as a way to slowly introduce the coming chaos of the New World Order. There's really only one problem with this - there's absolutely no proof of any kind to think this may be the case.
Others are certain that this is the white man's way to eradicate the black man from one of the South's most famous cities. I was watching Bill Maher's show on HBO the other night and had to painfully listen to Michael Eric Dyson moan on and on about how this would never be allowed to happen if those were mostly white people down there begging for help. Well, Mike, if that's not conjecture then what is? Has there ever been a disaster like this? Nope. So you really don't know if that would have been the case, now do you? I do know one thing. New Orleans voters elected their current mayor. He's black and he apparently likes to say "ass" and "god damn" a lot. He also holds the keys to all of the city school buses that have sat still and slowly filled with water as New Orleans flooded. In the FEMA report I just read it says that ALL local vehicles must be used as a primary means of evacuation. It specifically mentions school buses. So instead of crying about how the poor people were left to die why didn't you start those buses, Mr. Mayor, and get them out of New Orleans during the TWO WEEK WARNING period you were given by the weather authorities?
The entire thing simply reeks of incompetence on the local, state and federal levels. No conspiracy here. Just plain old poor planning.
More to come.
